Following a number of complaints from local residents, local Lib Dem councillors Claire Thomas and Abigail Bell are looking into the problem of parking on Summergroves Way.

“Residents are concerned that parked cars on the bend near the Fire Service HQ make driving on the bend dangerous, especially if a car meets a bus at that point” said Claire.

Abigail added “we have been out and about talking to residents about the issue.  People have also told us it can be difficult to pull out of Swallowfield Drive and Pyruss Drive because of parked cars”.

Claire and Abigail have requested a site visit with Hull City Council’s Highways Department to see what action can be taken to make driving on Summergroves safer.

“We will keep residents up to date on our progress” said Claire.
