Local Lib Dem councillors Claire Thomas and Abigail Bell are campaigning for improvements to Netherton Road.

“Local residents have contacted us as they are concerned that the bend on Netherton Road is dangerous” said Claire.

Claire and Abigail contacted all of the local residents on Netherton Road and Lashbrook Garth to ask people what they though should be done.

“Residents have come up with a number of ideas including a one-way system, a keep clear area or increasing parking” said Abigail.

The local Lib Dem Team have requested a site meeting with the Council’s Highways Department to look at the options.

“We will keep residents updated with our progress” added Claire.
