The team of carol singers for Summergroves Way Residents Association

On Sunday afternoon, Cllr Claire Thomas joined the Summergroves Way Residents Association for their carol singing event.  This was the first event of this type for SWRA, and it was a great success. More than fifteen people came to sing carols around Summergroves, stopping at several different points including Bush Close, Sable Close, Springbok Close, Swallowfield Way and more.

The singing was enthusiastic if not complete perfection! People came out to show their appreciation, which was well received, and the SWRA raised some money to help to improve the local area. Following the carols, everyone went back to the pop-in on Wheatfield Close to warm up with mince pies and mulled wine.

It was a great event, and thanks are due to the SWRA for organising it. A good start to the Christmas season!
