Residents on Hessle Road who live between the Sainsburys roundabout and the border with Hessle have been campaigning for the road to be resurfaced. Heavy traffic causes vibrations and noise in people’s houses, and they have been asking the council to resurface it to stop these problems.

Lib Dem councillors Abigail Bell and Claire Thomas have been supporting the residents with their campaign. Claire asked a question in the full council meeting last week, asking the council to commit to a date when the road would be resurfaced. We are pleased to be able to announce that the council has now committed to doing the work in March.
“I have been very pleased to be able to support the residents in their campaign”, said Claire. “I will now be monitoring the progress of the council to ensure it keeps to the commitment to resurface the road”.
